I always dreamed of becoming a successful person someday. In my opinion, it's okay to dream at a young age. Instead it will be our motivation in achieving our goals. However, dreaming is fine, but we can not just keep on dreaming, we must strive to make it happen.
Since childhood I required to become mature faster than the other friends with my age. This was triggered by the death of my father, at that time I was only in 3rd grade elementary school. It really makes me devastated, yet made me learned many things about life from it.
I also know very well how hard my mother raised me and my brother alone. My family does not come from wealthy families. But I'm grateful that God has given my family a good life and still can fulfill the needs of our lives. But yes, my mother worked very hard for it.
From all the things that happened in my schildhood, I learned that life is not as easy as we imagine. If we are rich, all people will flock to be our friend. But, if we are poor, no one even want to see us. This is reality, my friends! As the proverb says, "Who is rich, he was the one who holds the power". And it is true.
And as a woman I don't want to just rely on my husband later. I also want to have my own business. We don't know what will happen to our future husband right? He could suddenly die like my father. Or maybe one day he could having an affair and left us without any money. Such things like that were beyond our expectations. So I must also have many preparation. And that preparation starts from a young age.
Now I've started making a lot of things to make money for myself. Thank God, I have several online stores that can fulfill my needs each month. My income is not much yet, but it was good enough for now. I never asked about pocket money from my mother since two years ago. I also been able to buy a few things I need from my own pocket, such as buying a digital camera, a laptop, a blackberry, etc.
Have I already success now? Of course not yet. My journey is still long ahead. I still have to work EXTRA HARD to achieve success. It is not easy, but we must keep on trying with enthusiasm and high motivation. I am now 21-years-old, still young right? I believe one day I would achieve my dreams of success. Keep working hard and praying.
My message is don't because you're young, so you always take it easy in life and wasting your parents money. You may not proud of the wealth of your parents, because it was not the result of your hard work. Open your eyes now and try to find the opportunities of success around your life. There have been many people who had achieved success at a young age, try to browse on Google and you'll find lots of examples there.
Keep the youth spirit and do not easily give up! :)
