I wanna go to PARIS someday!

I mean, WHO DOESN'T? :)

I haven't got a chance to go abroad at all. Mostly I only go to Bali when I was on vacation, yeaaa, still located in Indonesia. But that doesn't kill my dream to visit other parts of the world someday. I really hope to realize that dream before I die. LOL

My first destination when my savings are sufficient will be PARISSSS! I'd loveee to visit there! Is the Eiffel tower is as beautiful as in the pictures? Whoaaa..I'm very curious about it! I think I'll stand in front of the Eiffel Tower for an hour without blinking at all!!! *lebay* I also want to visit the Louvre Museum. Seeing the paintings of Leonardo DaVinci seems to be soooo cool and would be a valuable experience.

I also had learned French language for a few months at Center Culturel Français (CCF), Salemba, Jakarta. Unfortunately I can only took the basics course at that time because I don't have enough money to pay for the further lessons. But it was a pretty fun experience for me, because I really like French language. Actually not only French language, I just love learning something new. Learning new things that we never knew before is so much fun! :D

Paris has made me fall in love, even before I set my feet in there. I really fascinated with the beauty of Paris, things that's people often talked about. From the country, the Eiffel Tower, the language, the films, and definitely the fashion! I think by writing this post already made my blood flow faster, it feels like tomorrow I'll go to Paris! I must be crazy by now. HAHA! Paris ohh Paris . . . ♥ ♥ ♥

I am a magazine addict!

Do you always buy one or two magazines every month? Still reasonable.

Do you always buy more than five magazines every month? WOW.

It means that you are addicted to magazines!

Relax, I also included one of them. Haha.. Every month I always buy a few magazines. Whether it's fashion magazines, movie magazines, or whatever. This habit has started since my 1st grade junior high school. I used to see my cousin who like to collect magazines, since then I became interested. Then, addicted! (-.-")

I also still remember the very first magazine I bought was Anita, with B*Witched (a group of female singers) on their cover. Now Anita is no longer published. Is anyone still remember this magazine? I also used to buy GADIS. As I remembered, the famous teen magazine at that time was GADIS, Kawanku, Aneka Yess!, and Anita. Some of the magazines is still published until today, but probably not as well known as first. Since there are so many new teen magazine these days, of course the competition between each magazine became increasingly tight.

I know the habit of buying too many magazines is a bad habit and should be eliminated. Well maybe not 100% eliminated, at least I should be able to reduce it slightly. For example, if you had bought more than five magazines every month, try to be reduce it to just four magazines. If you usually buy three magazines, try to only buy one. I've tried this and it worked. Do it slowly, not too drastic and hasty.

Reading magazine is fun (at least for some people like me), it can waste our time when we're bored, as we read the information and see the latest trends. But as soon as we finished reading, usually the magazines were just placed at random place until it come into trash. Not to mention if we don't want it to be discarded, then we just stacked all of it in a magazine rack, until a few months later when the rack is full, we are forced to throw the magazines away. Can you imagine how much money is wasted?

If we still want to buy those magazines are fine, but we have to control our expenses each month. Better to prepare a special budget for our magazine needs, for example only buy 2 magazines per month, then we have to promise ourself not to buy magazines over that number. Because usually enthusiast magazines like me will not realize the expense in buying magazines. I believe if we had made a special badget for something, hopefully our spending is become well controlled.

Btw, I have a good friend named Elco Frebliaman who is also a magazine addict. He has a special blog to pour this hobby. If you want to come to the blog, please just open Magazines Junkie. Thanks to his blog, he now works at one of the famous fashion magazine in Jakarta! Good for Elco, starting from a hobby to collect and read magazines, now it can generating an income for him. Who knows another fellow who also loves magazine can follow his track one day? :)

Success at a young age, why not?

I always dreamed of becoming a successful person someday. In my opinion, it's okay to dream at a young age. Instead it will be our motivation in achieving our goals. However, dreaming is fine, but we can not just keep on dreaming, we must strive to make it happen.

Since childhood I required to become mature faster than the other friends with my age. This was triggered by the death of my father, at that time I was only in 3rd grade elementary school. It really makes me devastated, yet made me learned many things about life from it.

I also know very well how hard my mother raised me and my brother alone. My family does not come from wealthy families. But I'm grateful that God has given my family a good life and still can fulfill the needs of our lives. But yes, my mother worked very hard for it.

From all the things that happened in my schildhood, I learned that life is not as easy as we imagine. If we are rich, all people will flock to be our friend. But, if we are poor, no one even want to see us. This is reality, my friends! As the proverb says, "Who is rich, he was the one who holds the power". And it is true.

And as a woman I don't want to just rely on my husband later. I also want to have my own business. We don't know what will happen to our future husband right? He could suddenly die like my father. Or maybe one day he could having an affair and left us without any money. Such things like that were beyond our expectations. So I must also have many preparation. And that preparation starts from a young age.

Now I've started making a lot of things to make money for myself. Thank God, I have several online stores that can fulfill my needs each month. My income is not much yet, but it was good enough for now. I never asked about pocket money from my mother since two years ago. I also been able to buy a few things I need from my own pocket, such as buying a digital camera, a laptop, a blackberry, etc.

Have I already success now? Of course not yet. My journey is still long ahead. I still have to work EXTRA HARD to achieve success. It is not easy, but we must keep on trying with enthusiasm and high motivation. I am now 21-years-old, still young right? I believe one day I would achieve my dreams of success. Keep working hard and praying.

My message is don't because you're young, so you always take it easy in life and wasting your parents money. You may not proud of the wealth of your parents, because it was not the result of your hard work. Open your eyes now and try to find the opportunities of success around your life. There have been many people who had achieved success at a young age, try to browse on Google and you'll find lots of examples there.

Keep the youth spirit and do not easily give up! :)

Are you also an insomniac?

Today I woke up late! I've set the alarm on my blackberry this morning at 10 am, but I woke up at 2 pm. Shit. But things like this is already common. Haha.. My insomnia is getting worse everyday. How would I now go to bed at 6 am? Jeez.. (-.-)

Actually what is the meaning of insomnia?

Insomnia is a common condition in which you have trouble falling or staying asleep. This condition can range from mild to severe, depending on how often it occurs and for how long.

Insomnia can be chronic or acute. Chronic insomnia means having symptoms at least 3 nights a week for more than a month. Acute insomnia lasts for less time.

Some people who have insomnia may have trouble falling asleep. Other people may fall asleep easily but wake up too soon. Others may have trouble with both falling asleep and staying asleep.

As a result, insomnia may cause you to get too little sleep or have poor-quality sleep. You may not feel refreshed when you wake up.

Insomnia can cause excessive daytime sleepiness and a lack of energy. It also can make you feel anxious, depressed, or irritable. You may have trouble focusing on tasks, paying attention, learning, and remembering. This can prevent you from doing your best at work or school.

Insomnia also can cause other serious problems. For example, you may feel drowsy while driving, which could lead to an accident.

I feel creepy after reading the definition of insomnia above. From ordinary insomnia initially, may become more severe. My insomnia's still in regular categories. But if I not treat it well, it could get worse one day. Phew..

Why the hell is someone can be so hard to sleep? I believe, every person must have their own reasons. In my case, actually I don't find it difficult to sleep, but my sleep schedule seems to have reversed. Morning into night, night became morning. It all started from my bad habits. :(

At the time I was in school, I always get up early. Sleep always at 9 pm. Most late at 10 pm. But now when it is not in school anymore, I feel no obligation to get up early. Clearly a wrong perception. Now I got used to wake up late, I have also been used to stay up all night. NOT GOOD.

I've tried to not sleep all day looong, after that only my body felt very tired, but at night I still can't go to bed early. And also my eyes felt very dry at that moment. But there it was, I still could not get to bed early. Why, ohh why, why? (@.@)

Do you all have the same experience with me about insomnia? Difficulty sleeping at night? Already counting sheeps in your head but still could not fall asleep? Was ready to sleep with your warm blankets, cold air conditioning, a super comfortable bed, and your eyes are both already closed, but still could not sleep because your mind is still floating everywhere? Yes, congratulations, you wind up exactly like me! LOL

How do I get my insomnia cure? I have no idea. Maybe you can help? :)

But I'll try to go to bed earlier everyday. Trying to find activities that will make me sleepy, such as reading my friends timeline in twitter, reading novels, surfing the internet, or whatever blah. Maybe little things like that can help. Who knows?Usually, reading twitter before bed is so helpful to make me drowsy. But sometimes it can also make me too exciting to read that timeline as to not be sleeping! It sucks you know. Haha..

If there any friends who have succeeded in get rid of insomnia problems please share here, you can just write a comment on this post. Who knows with that, me and other friends who have the same problem can be helped. Thanks before guys.. :)

First post on my first personal blog! ♥ ♥ ♥

Hello, this is my first personal blog. Actually, I already have a blog, but only to discuss or review about movies. If you want to peek into my movie blog, just open Jagoan Movies. Enjoyyy!

Hmm..actually, I still not have a thought of what to write on this blog yet, but maybe I'll just simply write anything around me. Who knows one day this blog might be famous.
*yeaaa, I wish* LOL

I like to write. Write anything. Writing became my own relaxation. When I write, it seems my mind and soul feels so relieved. Besides that, I also a moviemaniac, so my first choice when I create a blog in 2008 was about movies. What a coincidence!

Btw, my ability to write in English is not good, so if there are any mistakes in my grammar don't hesitate to tell me. Actually, I can understand if someone speaks in English, but I'm not used to write in English. So, I hope all readers can still understand what I write. :)

Okay, time to introduce myself, my name is Gabby Hakim. Currently I'm 21 years old, but later in the month of October I'll be age 22. Huff..it seems that time goes so fast these days huh? Until now it seems that my behavior sometimes still like high school teen! Haha.. Well, the days of high school was the most wonderful time! Do you also think so?

I'm proud to be an Indonesian, although I'm actually Chinese. Born and lived in Jakarta, a metropolitan city that always busy and never sleep. Despite the many shortcomings of this state, I still love Indonesia. There are many things to be proud of here.

Born as the first child in my family and I have one brother who is now in second grade high school. I live only with my mother and my brother, because my father has died when I was 9 years old. We are a happy little family. I really love them both!

My current activity is only taking care of my online store and of course blogging. I love blogging! Btw, I'll tell you more about my online store later. Previously, I studied at the London School of Public Relations, majoring Mass.Communication. I now no longer in college for some reason I can't tell here. I'm very sad to leave college, but I have no choice. However, I'm determinded to continue my education someday, if everything is possible.

Now turn to romance, I already had a boyfriend. We've been together for five years and seven months, since July 16, 2004. His name is Arifin Wijaya, but I used to call him Fendy. I am also puzzled why his nickname could be far different from his original name. It's a long history. Haha.. Btw, he is now 26 years old. We're both different five years. Age difference is not a problem for us, besides the difference of five years is still normal right? Look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher!

It seems complete enough introduction. In the next post I promise will tell you more. Hopefully I'll not lazy to write this blog. Please drop a comment on this blog, I'd really appreciate it. Also don't be shy to say hello to me in the chat box, I'm not gonna bite you. Haha.. If you want to exchange links are also very welcome, just ask. See you on my next babbles! :)
